------------- How To Play -------------
Carefully manage and collect resources, to forge your tools, by going through the dungeons. Every Ore has it's pro's and cons, and can be mixed together !
You're able to carry 2 Tools !!!
(Sorry I didn't have time for a better UI with inventory).
Headphones highly recommended !!
------------- Controls -------------
Keyboard / Controller (recommended)
- WASD / Left joystick Move
- Space / X Swing
- Shift / Y Switch tool
- E / A Interact/Pickup tool
- Mouse / D-pad Anvil UI
- P / Start Pause
- F / Select Full Screen
- Q / L1 Gadget (Only in tutorial for now, didn't have time to properly implement gadgets, but have fun with it in there !)
(Xbox 360 button names, but should work for any controller)
------------- Features -------------
- Procedural dungeons (16 rooms per dungeon)
- Forging of tools : Hammer, Pickaxe, Sledge-hammer. Failing a "forging step" will destroy all the ores you've used to forge that tool (check tutorial to try out some tool forging with a lot of ores, so there's no pressure in failing)
- Cooking Ores : Mix Copper and Tin to Create Bronze
- Mixing Ores : Iron, Copper, Tin, Bronze, ???? (can be mixed together to get tools with mixed stats, Iron having the worse stats, copper more durability, tin more damage, bronze more damage and durability than tin and copper combined, and the mysterious ore has the most damage and durability)
- Breaking and collecting Ores : Break Rocks with the tools you forge, and collect the ore they drop, to forge better tools
- Sound Reaction : Make sure there's no ghosts lurking around when breaking rocks, or they will hear you ! (distance will depend on which tool you're using)
- Sanity Level : Ghosts drain your sanity if you get close to them, so don't stay close for too long !
- Bonus (gadgets) : Check out one of the gadgets in the tutorial room. It's a sound mine, supposed to attract nearby ghosts. I didn't have time to fully implement the gadget system, but decided to just give one in the tutorial room. (You were supposed to find a chest in the dungeon with a key-code, and then craft the key with the corresponding ores, to then use it on that chest, and unlock the gadget inside, for unlimited uses, cooldown based)
------------- Known bugs -------------
The background music loops for 1-2 seconds, when transitioning to the dungeon room on the Browser export, sorry for that.
Controller support is Fixed for Browser, no more stick drift !
------------- Credits -------------
- Art : Character and Tileset from a good friend (doesn't have an itch account, so can't tag him)
- SFX : If I remember correctly, every SFX is from freesound.org, some mixed together, and some just worked on in audacity, to create the desired sound effect.
- Gadgets : TeapotDuDimanche on itch.io (There's 3 gadgets that weren't able to make it into the game, no time for proper balancing/testing, but one is available in the tutorial room for testing)
